This card may be useful against dicard decks, but it also prevents you from casting instant spell during your opponents turn. Maybe nice in some combo decks, but not great at all.

2.5 / 5

If you're not sure how to get one, it evolves from Bottled Shellder if you give it a water stone.

Crag-Hack is right. This is a good card, but risky. If you're using it, obviously card advantage is important to you. If it gets destroyed, you lose your hand... it's tough to come back from that.

Works well, but even if it isn't destroyed you lose the ability to play counterspells. Risky, but often it pays off. Not against monored (Smelt) or monogreen (Oxidize) but good against the non-artifact removal colors.

Sweet card. But yeah, if it gets shattered its probably game...
Good thing artifact removal is not something you run into every game.

This + Bazaar Trader and Smelt?

At first I thought it had great synergy with Niv-Mizzet, but the cards aren't drawn back to your hand.

Mind you, it's like Staff of Nin (where only you draw a card), but instead of utili-ping, you've got a protecto-hand.

It's a shame it's so wordy. I got lost after the first paragraph (and didn't like it at all).
