It's interesting to see how much people love this card balance out the rating. And yes, it untaps for free.

Holy sh*t, I found something ACTUALLY usable about this card... Use it in an Erratic Explosion deck!
Let's say you draw up Volley of Boulders, Plague Wind, Blinkmoth Infusion or Draco or something. By donating our buddy Chimney and bolting it, you can put that back on your deck, then Erratic Explosion and deal the damage you need.
Sure, it's not exactly a good combo... But it's a combo that makes Chimney Imp almost usable.

This card plus Enduring Renewal plus Ashnod's Altar and your opponent just keeps taking a look at the top card of his deck then putting it back while he sits there with no hand. Requires 1 less card and much more amusing than blowing him up with an Ornithopter and a Fireball.
Mindless Null might actually be better though.
