Timmy sees an enormous creature attacking on turn three destroying all his cards.
Johnny sees the least creative use of all the mana he is 'generating' with Omnath, Locus of Mana.
Spike sees a card that he thought was over-costed trash at first until a Johnny paired it with Show and Tell.
Vorthos sees a card that makes all of his plots to inflict mental agony on his opponent feel tame.
Melvin takes Wizards to court because Emrakul is too powerful, being a nearly unstoppable game-ender that's barely even a real creature.

ChrisxGordon -- you are incorrect because it is the creature that is dealing the damage and triggering the destruction--not the spell. So blocking with an Ornithopter and playing Virulent Swipe on it would indeed send Emrakul packing.

BTW, facing Emrakul is what every Intrepid Hero dreams of.

What can I say, really? He's just the biggest, burliest, brutiest badass ever to hit the game. And he defines what mythic should be (Legendary awesomeness, huge mana cost, unique abilities, not for every deck) and shouldn't be (abilities a bit much proportionate for mana cost, but then again he does cost 15)

No matter how many people dislikes its OTTness, Emrakul will always be a classic, as the most powerful Magic The Gathering Jellyfish that ever lived. My heart is filled with warmth. :)

Broken.
I don't care what people say.
Someone tried to argue with me today about this.
They said the CMC was a big enough drawback...
Has anyone ever actually hardcasted Emrakul?
No.
They get him out turn three with their Elvish Pipers, Defense of the Heart, etc.
So. Broken.

@Just1Micky the legend rule has been changed since the Kimigawa block. Both Legends die when a second come into play. At the same type, "Legendary" is now a super-type instead of a sub-type so you can't trigger the Legend rule by changing creature types.
