The EDH Fungus Squad has finally been assembled:

Corpsejack Menace!
Ghave, Guru of Spores!

Their lair is in Oran-Rief, the Vastwood, and their powers are magnified when the Doubling Season is on. They hope to live Parallel Lives in the afterlife.

This would work great with Bloodhall Ooze

Ghave's secret weapon. Drop Ghave as a 10/10, pay 10 and distribute 20 power among creatures you control. Swing. Rinse and Repeat.

Awesome combo, Lots of small creatures + Corpsejack Menace + Mycoloth + Parallel Lives = Death to your opponent...

and now I'm going to flashback Increasing savagery on my nighthawk. Problem?

This is great fungus. This has great synergy with the scavenge mechanic. You can believe everything I am saying because I am a pro.

So with this and Parallel Lives I get a Doubling Season for about $20 less? Yeah I'm good with that.

A very freudian card

Also, the star of my mental rakdos/golgari deck.

I can't believe no one is talking about Exalted mechanic.

Turn 4 Corpsejack Menace
Turn 5 Kalonian Hydra
Turn 6 another Corpsejack Menace

Trample attack for 40

Somehow your opponent survived?

Turn 7 Trample attack for 200

Please note that turn 8 attack for 1000 damage may severely injure or kill the opposing player, and is, in fact, illegal in several states.

This thing is a monster of a card. The Monstrous mechanic gets downright brutal with this thing.

They couldnt reprint Doubling Season without it being absolutely ridiculous, so they gave us half of it on a 4/4 for four cmc. Im completely fine with this tbh. Probably goes the best with the guild mechanic out of all the guild leaders in Return To Ravnica, and maybe even Gatecrash, combos well with evolve, lotleth troll is his best friend and he is currently in a long term relationship with master biomancer. Many shenanigans have ensued when i scavenged 20 1/1 counters onto nighthawk just by having two of him on the field. Succeptible to removal and is rather weak without setup, however the payoff is well worth it if you can pull it off.

Not super amazeballs but still pretty bloody good. 4/5

Everyone's all "Kresh the Bloodbraided" this and "Predator Ooze" that and I'm just looking at that art going "Party fungus in the hooooooouse tonight, everybody have a real good time!"

My friend played this in a modular deck. Crazy!

Why is no one mentioning Death's Presence or creatures with Devour? I mean just imagine:

Corpsejack Menace+Death's Presence+Korozda Guildmage+creatures with devour such as Marrow Chomper

Sac a creature to the guildmage, play a creature with devour, sac to guildmage, play another creature with devour...

Mmmmm such a wonderful combo with Primordial Hydra.

Often referred to as "the ***."
Posted By: Cabbieboy (9/15/2013 4:50:40 AM)

With this in play, Kalonian Hydra starts as an 8/8 and attacks as a 24/24.

Forgotten Ancient
Hamletback Goliath
Master Biomancer
Primordial Hydra
And my favorite, Vorel of the Hull Clade

I thought this card was so awesome for my Golgari deck... and then they made Kalonian Hydra
