He looks like he should of been a cleric. Hes got that "worship me" vibe.
Also, when did Orzhov start having vampires? I mean Vampries does seem like the next logical step up from Spirits for them.

I've played in many of games where one player has stabilized at low health and then slowly come back for the win. His second ability is more than just flavor; it can finish off control decks that would other-wise make a comeback.

Winmoar Baron of the game is already over. Could have been cooler if his trigger was opposite and permanent like "Once per game when you have 10 or less life and an opponent has 30 or more life put 6 +1/+1 counters on Blood Baron of Viskopa" and another line that said "While Blood Baron of Vizkopa has 6 +1/+1 counters on it it gains flying."

You can't slap on a Gift of Orzhova, Holy Mantle, or Murder Investigation because he has pro black and white.
Great mythic, probably the best Block Constructed card in Return to Ravnica block.

Love this guy! Pro removal and with Nocturnis he becomes a 6/5 Flyer with his other abilities. Add Sorin to the mix and he just gets bigger.
One of the best Vampires printed IMO.

See this as a 4/4 Lifelinker with protection from black and white because the other ability is a bad winmore. If you're over 30 life, your opponent is under 10 life and you have a good creature out, you're probably going to win whether he had that ability or not.
Still a 4/4 Lifelinker with protection from most removal is very useful.

Why do people still refer to lightning bolt? Is it because of casual players? That card has been out of standard for years. Maybe modern? I don't think this guy is strong enough for modern. I could be wrong though.
This card is really good. The only thing is, it doesn't feel mythic. It doesn't actually do anything particularly cool.

Believe it or not I've seen at least three wins due to that last paragraph. It may be goofy win-more most of the time but it actually has been the primary reason that I've seen people win. Besides, the creature is pretty grade A for its cost even if that last paragraph were pure flavor text. Not to be underestimated.

People use lightning bolt as a generic term for a 3 damage spell. It has been around since the start of magic so most people know what the spell does without an explanation.
