With torpor orb and sundial of the infinite, Phage EDH becomes more and more practical.
Still ridiculous of course, but at least you can actually play your general.

The Dream Opening Hand-
Swamp, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Phage The Untouchable, Sootstoke Kindler.
Play the swamp, then play all four Dark Rituals. Play Phage The Untouchable, then play Sootstoke Kindler. Tap Sootstoke Kindler to give Phage haste, then swing with Phage to win on turn 1. =)

No, Tryffin, casting Phage with Rooftop Storm will not result in you losing the game. Rooftop Storm simply means you don't have to pay for her to be cast; it's still from your hand.
