I don't understand the flavor of them dying at the end of the turn. Did they just give up their revolt? Do they fall on their pitchforks?

Moxxy: I think the flavor is that these guys are farmers, they can only revolt only so long before they have to return home to the fields for harvest. I'm not going to go into a history lecture but back in the day before permanant/professional armies, the army could only fight in the summer after the crops had been sown and before cultivation. So Innistrad has this Midievel times/ Dark Ages feel to it, so yeah, it should make sense. (after Rome fell it would be years before nations in Europe would have enough money and resources to field a regular army)
