It's okay, but it just doesn't feel "mythic" to me. Actually, I thought it was a regular rare and did a double-take when I noticed the orange expansion symbol.

If you run a white human soldier/angel deck (or a human soldier ally/angel deck, if you want people to hate you), this card should be your best friend. Too bad her gained abilities aren't covered by Concerted Effort, though.

I give this a 4.5 out of 5 overall; I predict infect will still poop on this in Standard until the rotation (as it does on everything), and even in Casual it's usefulness is limited to specific deck types. But when included in said deck, expect her to destroy some faces; in previously aforementioned holy army deck type, her abilities may as well be static.

Corrosive Gale lets her push her damage through, provided you have a non-flying human.

She is only useful to a human deck if you can improve her aggro potential imo.

In much ways, that's a great crad: great art, great flavor, great -really great- flavor text...
And besides his obvious synergy with Invisible Stalker, having a blue splash means that you have a Negate or Dissipate to avoid any Slagstorm or a Black Sun's Zenith, the only two big threats to her.
For me, she's still a well-deserved 5 star angel.

I'm disappointed I haven't been able to get any meaningful use out of her yet. I played her for the first time today and won, but that was because I had a huge overrun with Garruk, the Veil Cursed. By the way he was the card that tutored me to her. Once I get some more meaningful play out of her I'll properly rate her.

I have this card but I have a Question.
If Angelic overseer becomes a human itself and there isn't an other human on the battlefield, does her ability work?

Not sure about this one. I dont like having more then one creature out, feels like overextending. Maybe with Borderland Rangers?

I dislike the constant comparison to BSA. The mechanics of each are so different it is like comparing apples and oranges. Angelic Overseer is a combo piece while BSA is a stand-alone power house. I love this card though- a powerful and extremely flavourful addition to any human deck.

The Cons: It's not baneslayer, needs humans to be relevant

The Pros: In the right deck, you'll nearly always have humans. Survives divine retribution. IT WON'T DIE.

This card exceeded my expectations and then some. There were two opened at the prerelease, and both players just stuck the hexproof equipment on any old human and proceeded to be unbeatable. I am going to go ahead and call this the sleeper of Innistrad...gonna order 3 (i got one in a prize pack) right now while they are still cheap.

Can't wait to throw this in a deck with invisible stalker and a couple of swords and win everything ever.
