Pulled one of these and two Snapcaster Mages in a fat pack last week.I like this version of liliana better (mainly because of the

cost), but defintly NOT worth the $59.99 price tag.
Way to gouge SCG/ChannelFireball. Heres to hoping THAT goes down...

Liliana of the Veil seems like an amazing card if for her +1 ability alone. Build a deck around that and you got card advantage coming out of your but hole, throw in some burial rights and sun titan and you start hurting things...a lot.
Splash some blue with a pinch of flashback cards and your are winning games.
I like Liliana, and although black is not my think, I'm changing my opinion fast. However there are a couple easy things that can get rid of her and her flaws.
1) other graveyard decks. If you are playing the mirror match, or you are up against splinterfright you may be in for some dissapointment...
2) Beast within seems like a fast counter to Liliana and if they are using her they are likely using control variant, which mean there is little they can do with that 3/3 beast anyway.
3) Brimstone folley covers her well early game and late game doing five damage.
4) white has the use of nevermore and other other strange ways of dealing with Liliana but no-one plays mono-white so y... (see all)

God DAMN! I love the art... and don't ANY OF YOU DENY YOU DO TO! YOU KNOW YOU WOULD SLEEP WITH LILIANA EVEN IF IT DAMNED YOU.
I am SO glad I pulled one in the early stages, and as much as I like her, 70 bucks isn't worth it, max I'd go is 45-50....

@2pcsofcandy @RazielKane
Spoilers for Test of Metal: near the end of ToM, Tezzeret gave her the gift of freedom from the deals she's made with the Demon and Nicol Bolas.
Thus no markings
@landboysteve "Feel free to flame away." .... No.. No, thats too easy.
Its value is what it is because of the awesome creature control she presents in Standard.

@2pcsofcandy: perhaps her marks are not glowing because she's finally found a way to get around her dark deal with the demons, or at least one of them? After all, that IS why she's in Innistrad, to hunt down, or find a weapon to kill one of the three demons ruling her. If I'm not mistaken, Griselbrand, the demon who killed Avacyn, is one of the demons Liliana had a pact with. Can anyone confirm this?
Or alternatively, her deal with Nicol Bolas is overriding the demon magic... After all, Bolas is more powerful than the three demons combined. (see novel Test of Metal for more on Liliana's deal with Bolas)

I have made a deck that already takes advantage of her. I can kick of her ultimate mulitple times in game just for the fact BW Decks are really good at control. Mirran Cruaders and Phyrexian crusaders with her are really mean which is another feature to combo with her but I really like the fact that I have my play set of her. But I still have to admit she is really expensive at the moment for most people to use so she will either pull a gideon or a Jace 2.0 and start out expensive and go down or just stay expensive.

I'm still deciding on what deck to stick her in (most likely UB Control/Mill combo), but I finally managed to play a game with her when I lucked out during draft during FNM. Very useful when she comes up (largely fulfills the B, R, and A of Limited), but she definitely needs backup. There are a lot of ways to get rid of her.
