After seeing Invisible Stalker in what felt like every game at the prerelease, I plan on first-picking the shit out of this.

Oh, the vorthos in me loves how there is a Bitterheart Witch in the art. Or at least thats what it looks like.

I had a chance to play this card in the pre-release, and it was always nice to have, and not too expensive either. It shuts down white token strategies and nerfs the rest, and gets rid of a lot of utility creatures. I had a bitterheart witch to help me tutor it, and this card is also synergistic with damage or -x/-x spells as well for board control. I imagine this is a very frustrating card to deal with. Although i do not know how effective it is in constructed, in limited it is a bomb in the right deck, probably red/black control with medium aggro.

It's definitely good against red/black aggro. I hadn't realized how many one toughness creatures were in my deck until this hit the board.

Godhead of Awe.

Throw in a Dovescape and Torpor Orb for good measure.

This is a Good Card.

Ascendant Evincar effects are extremely powerful. White weenie, red goblins, and even green ramp will fall to this card (Llanowar Elves dies to this). Accessory creatures in black and blue (such as Typhoid Rats) are taken out as well. It's so much worse than a field-wipe as well, since the effect doesn't go away until it's removed, which is more difficult to do than removing Ascendant Evincar, Crovax, Ascendant Hero, or Elesh Norn.

I think it would've been nice if they printed it at 2BlackBlack so it could keep up with Day of Judgment, but as we can see with the power difference between Demons and Angels, black isn't supposed to keep up with white in massive destruction, it seems.

@dontmess17, a sword will be no help against this, especially for inkmoths. They die as soon as they become creatures. No chance to equip.

Kills weenies dead.

@Occamsrazorwit: Night affects all players, not just one. Thus it's usually a bit more useful in multiplayer. But yes, this is a very nice alternative in 1-on-1.

White has a lot of spells that summon armies of 1/1s in the Innistrad block (like Gather the Townsfolk) and humans that leave behind 1/1 spirits after they die. This is more than a little effective for keeping those spells in your opponent's hand and not on the field. I can personally attest to the above sorcery, my opponent kept it in her hand for at least 5 turns when she really needed it. Totally sucks for token-driven decks without enough enchantment removal.

Like Night of Souls' Betrayal... but only on your opponent! I remember the Night being very annoyed, so this is probably good.

Nice flavor text btw.
