Chimney Imp casting, opponents are laughing. Chimney Imp dying, opponents are crying.

I once pulled this card out to an officer, instead of my license. He immediately apologized for pulling me over, and let me go.

While most people focus on the stats, few actually appreciate the card for what it is; a work of art. You can actually hear the haunting laughter of the imp in your mind. You can feel the smooth skin of the imp. You can taste the papery wings. But the smell is the most horrible. The odor had me not sleeping for 4 years. That's a long time to go without sleeping.

Every once and a while a card comes around that defines the entire metagame of MTG. Skullclamp, Jitte, ect.

Chimney Imp blows any card previously mentioned out of the water, it's so good it completely destroyed the current meatgame and created a new one, which it then proceeded to destroy.

It is said that grinding a chimney imp into a fine powder and snorting it will make the user the ultimate magic player, but no man has been willing to sacrifice a card this wonderful for a skill gain.

This card is a diamond, shining out from the middle of the rough. Life is Chimney Imp.

Most brutal combo ever, and on Turn 0!
Hand: Gemstone Caverns, Flash, Chimney Imp, Simian Spirit Guide, Geist of Saint Traft, two other cards
Start out with the Caverns in play, discarding the Geist of Saint Traft, exile the Spirit guide, and flash in Chimney Imp. Refuse to pay its cost and sacrifice. BAM, one card from their hand on top of their library.
They're not coming back from that.
But Chimney Imp is, because it is immortal.

I once dropped Chimney Imp at a blackjack table in Vegas. The dealer just bowed his head and scooped

For you crybabies whining about the casting cost, you're completely forgetting that you get to untap those five lands on your VERY NEXT TURN with no drawback whatsoever.

Also, it absolutely obliterates your opponent's pace if it dies - but good luck trying to kill it, because it's immune to deathmark.

If that isnt enough, it has rampage: 0, so you can attack every turn without fear. Chimney Imp LIVES SIDEWAYS.

A while ago, a friend of mine was playing some sort of wacky BlueBlackRed deck against my WhiteBlack control deck. At some point in the game, he cast Chimney Imp. I wasn't very good at Magic back then, so I thought to myself, "Meh, I've seen better." He then enchanted it with Splinter Twin and Pemmin's Aura. Like an amateur, I wasn't impressed; I still thought it was a mediocre card, enchanted with two mediocre auras. Then he dropped Phyrexian Altar.

Suddenly realizing what was happening, I looked at my hand. Vendetta, Terror, Radiant's Judgment...all useless. In desperation, I equipped a Skullclamp to my Solemn Simulacrum and then Annihilated it, hoping to draw an answer. Luckily, my third card was Path to Exile, although I didn't draw anything else useful. So ... (see all)
