I can't think of many creatures that were banned in any format. Respect.

haha well i always love using card whenever i am able to use my WW deck. Unfortunatly, when she is put into a competitive legacy format, the weakest part of her is the rebels she is searching up. If they come up with another cycle of rebels i think you could have a decent deck.

In a casual to casual/competitive format, she's a house in a rebel deck but rebels tend to be fairly slow against decks like combo and zoo. But when shes out and gets movin its hard stopping her sheer power.

She can also be a lot of fun with artificial evolution. I like making her a Nephelim fetcher.

Quite powerful on her own, but not necessarily broken. Training Grounds, on the other hand, makes this card insane and singlehandedly breaks rebels.

Lin Sivvi is also a 1-card combo setup with Children of Korlis, which you can cycle turn after turn as long as the opponent doesn't deal lethal damage. When done with Training Grounds and another rebel recruiter, you can easily start gaining life every time the opponent attacks but fails to kill you.

Guest1162619373 makes a good point. It would be interesting to see what would happen if Masques block was played with the current rules.

I love this card, because I play with it. Even so, it seems that it should have been X+1 to fetch creatures, to keep pace with the costs of all other rebels. The 'graveyard to library' ability could have been ported to another creature, perhaps. But really, it was the Masques-era legend rule that really made Sivvi powerful.

Either way, the existence of the card Brutal Suppression should prove just how dominant rebels were in their day.

She was banned in Masques because the Legend rule at the time stated that a legendary permanent in play would stay in play should a second instance of the permanent enter play and the second one would go to the graveyard as a state-based effect. So, in that block, if both players were running Rebel decks the player who got Lin Sivvi out first generally had a massive advantage over the other player who would have to kill the opponent's Lin Sivvi before they could play theirs and have it survive. Today, they would both die if a second Lin Sivvi was put into play.
