Mirran mettle is to Giant Growth as Galvanic Blast is to Lightning Bolt. That being said, i'm glad Wizards gave some artifact-loving cardsto red and green, traditionally the colors with the most artifact hate.

Many instants give +2/+2 or +4/+4 for G, as conditional Giant Growth. Might of Old Krosa and Groundswell are both good examples. This is another conditional one, and like Groundswell, some decks will find that condition easy to meet.
