This is one of the cards that makes the Koth deck so insanely much fun.
I had to add 3 more of these because there was only one in there.
One thing to think about is that the deck doesnt run on mana, but on mountains.
From the 4 multiplayer games ive played with the standard koth deck ive won 3 just by casting things like this for 16 damage a piece. Its so much fun.

more to cast Seismic Strike that can hit players also, but it loses its instant speed. meh

Not bad at all for midrange burn deck. At its worst its a lava axe that can also hit creatures. You wouldn't have this card in deck unless most lands were mountains.

{4} {R} is too much for this effect, especially at sorcery speed... even if it was instant speed it is still too high.

The way I see it, cards like Fireball are vastly superior to this card because your lands don't have to be mountains and the spell doesn't have to be a 5 drop but can be if you want.
