I love how this card lets you feel all altruistic for a minute until the second sentence of text kicks in. Interesting card for white that is great fun in multiplayer.

Seriously, 3 mana for an expensive blue effect. Awesome card.

It is white version of False Demise. When comparing with blue enchantment it has advantage of instant speed (surprise effect) and disadvantage of not applying come into play effects.
Generally it is pretty powerfull card.

@ Mr Pink: This card has never worked that way. Remember that it's from before 6th Edtion, when regeneration effects could only be played during a special step that took place when something would actually be destroyed. (One of the many things to which 6E said "good riddance to bad rubbish".) You could never just play this on a creature at will. (Are you kidding? It's powerful enough as it is.)

Pre-Oracle, this was a one mana cheaper, white, instant speed Control Magic that couldn't be undone by anti-enchantment cards. Yet another card for that R&D's Secret Lair deck.

Even post-Oracle, it's pretty damn good. I have visions of seeing a juicy creature across the table in a multiplayer game about to die, and I say "hey friend, I can save that guy if you want". So evil...
