@Joker: Because something that is "Exiled" isn't "Destroyed", nitwit.

@ Zulp: Because it can hit all permanents, not just creatures, and doesn't require a creature to be green to give it indestructibility. Not saying it's better, just that it's not strictly worse than this.

Anyway one of my favorite of the cycle, the abilities don't really sinc or anything, but you can't beat a beefy indestructible flier.

Indestructibility...riddle me this...Why is something said "indestructible" can be "destroyed" by removing it from the game?

P.S. Good for either Naya or Bant.

@ Jokergius

It isn't "destroyed" when it's removed from the game. It's more like it's taken to another dimension where it can't have any effect on dimension where the MTG battle is taking place.

As for -1/-1 counters being able to destroy indestructible creatures I think this makes sense. When something gets "withered" it's like it's getting smaller and smaller. So when it gets to zero toughness it's like it has been made too small to see or have an effect on the battle. Or, as an alternate idea if you prefer, you could think of it becoming so small as to not even exist anymore (so it wasn't destroyed, it just became too small to exist).

Just some ideas to maybe help explain the seeming paradox.

It seems to me that the main viable threat to Oversoul of Dusk with this on it is still Path to Exile. Great cards none-the-less though.

This card is sometimes incredibly underrated, effectivley being the indestructible enchantment in green for 1 less mana that can potentially also make white and green creatures bigger and add flying. There are so many early creatures to attach this too that would just make them nuts, like a naya hushblade on turn 2, and followed up by shield of the oversoul turn 3, for a 5/4, flying, shroud, indestructible creature. Even on a green only creature, imagine it on something like a sable stag, a 4/4, indestructible, protection blue and black, that's like a creature you might pay 6 or 7 mana for. Uril was also just made for this card, as it's pretty insane when the two come together. Even if the creature does eventually get removed, your giving your opponent such a hard time of finding a way to do it you can play a lot in the meantime. For example, a simple shield of oversoul to a rampaging baloths would be a very difficult to get rid of 7/7 trampler who makes 4/4 tokens per turn, even ... (see all)

The indestructibility it grants definitely helps to alleviate the normal card disadvantage that auras suffer from. However, exile effects still abound, so play with caution.

Seems like a good card. Gives a moderate p/t boost, grants evasion, and provides removal resistance. Its the secret trinity for successful auras.
