I think the flavor here is that he's really a 3/1 - reasonably strong, and capable of a berserker last stand for 6, but not a veteran warrior - but when he gets Kamahl's Desire, he becomes a 6 or 9/1 with first strike. Something like that.

The other option is, his ping ability represents him throwing his sword. I don't think it represents him throwing Lightning Bolts or anything like that, at least.

Godo's Maul? Would that help him out? Gets him to 9/4 trample, haste.
