How bought I make a whole bunch of squirrels and then drop Hivestone and Basal Sliver then cast exsanquinate or consume spirit for win.

Don't forget that with a gemhide out you can tap them all for mana then sac them all for more. Good for that extra burst. Plus, its a 2/2 sliver for 3.

While I totally appreciate this card as a sliver and it's ability to generate fast mana, it's the flavor text that really got me excited. A Fallen Empires character referenced on one of the most famous tribal types in MTG makes me wonder if a reboot of Fallen Empires with more playable cards might happen one day. Any excuse to bring back Dwarves, Orcs, Homarids, Thallids, and some non-Orzhov Thrulls is fine by me.
