This was the only reason my Mono-Black Control deck didn't lose every single game it played against the Show and Tell for Emrakul, the Aeons Torn combo. Watching Emrakul die to a blocking Dark Confidant is satisfying. >:)
It also turns Griselbrand's "Pay 7 life: draw 7 cards" into "Nuh-uh: ain't gonna happen, bub."
What Sudden Spoiling doesn't do is protect you from an opponent using Sneak Attack to play a new copy of Emrakul or Griselbrand every single effin' turn. Blast you, Sneak and Show decks, blast you...
