I don't know why I spent so much time memorizing Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdicar's name.

This card and Basking Rootwalla go well together. fun little combo, not ridiculous, but very cost effective at one red mana for 5 dmg creature kill and a free 1/1 that can be pumped.

For maximum use, discard Fiery Temper. 2 mana, 8 damage.

Nearly every single card in Time Spiral was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.
This card references Lava Axe only it deals damage to creatures instead of players. It's drawback can actually work in your favor thanks to all the Madness cards in Time Spiral.

Add to a Pyromancer Ascension deck? Although those builds are have so many tools already, this thing dumps a card in your graveyard before it's even cast, should you choose that option. You can ditch on Lightning Axe to the cost for another, and the discarded axe will be in the graveyard before the one you're casting is considered cast, giving you a counter on your ascension, and one step closer to taking out two Baneslayer Angels.

Dark Withering is a great card to pitch to this. For {R}{B} you probably get the equivalent of two Terminates early game (it's unlikely that both the creatures you want to take out are resistant to one of the spells unless your opponent is mono-black, although allowing regeneration is unfortunate), and if you're running hellbent it helps empty your hand in the meantime.

Also very good for decks with threshold.
Play this. Discard a card with madness and play that. 2 cards in the graveyard for what, 2 mana? and 2 great abilities.

Nah, it's not a reference to unglued, it's in the flavor text of a couple of cards from the first core sets, like Granite Gargoyle. Those were the days when Magic really didn't have a well-defined universe or storyline.

I really like this card in my Hellbent deck to clear my path. Goes well with Traitor's Clutch.
