"Oh well, at least I can reminisce the old days when I had this and Sigil Of Sleep in a deck,"
sigh... your 'old days' and my 'old days' are obviously not the same 'old days'

blue used to have shooters.
later it was decided that this is not part of blue's color pie.
but did you notice that on old cards you are the one who deals damage? these days, the card always accomplishes this task.
strangely, though, you are still preveting the damage. a good example to take a look on the current situation is Goblin Legionnaire.

Yeah, the Urza Block is fairly old. I'd say anything before... The first Mirrodin (or if Kamigawa came before Mirrodin, then that, I honestly didn't like either block) is old Magic. Pretty much, Magic before I started a collection.

The original Tim. Back in the day having a blue deck that taped creatures to deal direct damage was all the rage.

A classic card. Ridiculously off color though.

I hate the slavery of all powers to the damned color wheel myself.

I love Tim and hate Wizards for giving his ability to red. Blue is nothing but a secondary color these days with cards that use a ton of mana and no way to boost the mana curve. Oh well, at least I can reminisce the old days when I had this and Sigil Of Sleep in a deck, a truly vicious combo.
