Hm. I think the basic philosophy behind this card is one where black and white overlap. White reaches the destination by equal application of consequences, or fairness. Black reaches it by its tendency to hurt itself, along with others, in its quest for domination and power. In this sense, Wrath of God could just as easily have been black. With the appropriate name change... hence Damnation.
I'm not sure if every timeshifted card is so nicely mirrored.

I have four of these in my creatureless Underworld Dreams, Teferi's Puzzle Box and Howling Mine deck. Winter Orb after casting this seals the deal.

I love the look of the Planar Chaos Timeshifted cards, they have a very cool design. This one, of course, is also very very useful.

As much as I like the new Black sun's Zenith... we need to see this reprinted!

... I and my friend have seen this played again and again, that my friend has started to call Wrath of God "a white Damnation".

I didn't even notice that about rulings. That's pretty useful in my opinion. Planar Chaos is my favorite set.
