Well if they are ***ed and attack you all out, you're prolly better off becuase you can race them with a 5/5 turn 4. Plus you have green cards like giant growth or gaea's anthem. Eventually they'll realize their dumb.

Without the right combos, this card can be downright terrible. For example, lets say that the owner of Timbermare plays it and attacks. All creatures are tapped and Timbermare hits for five, then the opponent's turn starts. Now that opponent will have an opportunity to attack, with a board of unblocked creatures, and an irritation at being dealt five points of damage. In that case. the owner of Timbermare would hit the opponent for five only to get trample by their angered opponent. In order to prevent an unfortunate outcome such as that one, the owner of Timbermare should have certain creatures in play the have good synergy with it. Murkfiend Liege and Seedborn Muse are primary examples of creatures that work well with Timbermare. With one of those creatures in the battlefield, Timbermare can attack and the owner of it doesn't have to worry about the negative reparations that occur afterward.

Is this were red... it would be 4.5/5. A serious contender to Ball Lightning.

5 damage straight to an opponent's face for four mana. The only problem is that the opponents creatures will untap first. Maybe if combined with Stasis or somesuch...
