You are correct. However, I can see what A3Kitsune is saying. Just look at the art. The "Forge" is just an anvil and a bowl of fire, resting on tree stumps. I feel like the name of the card is okay, but the artist failed to capture the feling of "This is a forge. It is located here." The forge in the art definitely looks movable.

Anything you bring to a battlefield has to be able to be broken down and moved from battlefront to battlefront. The nature of this land is that it's an encampment used to maintain weapons and armor, thus strengthening the war effort. That is very red and white, and the flavor makes perfect sense.

@marmaris74
I agree that it's a pretty sparse looking forge, but I think that's the point. If it's on a battlefield then it isn't going to be some impressive structure and using it (IE- for red or white mana) is going to be kinda painful.

A3K, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

A forge is a place that has a furnace or hearth for metalworking. Or, it can also be a type of workshop.

Either way, both definitions suggest something "stationary", which fits a land perfectly.

Decent card, horrible effin art! My 9-year old could draw better than this!

Is that an anvil or a jungle creature in the background?

Shame on the artist.

Doesn't the name "Battlefield Forge" suggest something movable to you? So why give that name to a land?
