I don't know why there isn't a meme involving Sea Monster yet.
Also, strictly better then Chimney Imp.

@nevenshinko: I'm just going to guess that you're trolling about Wizards hating the most powerful colour in magic.
Anyways, this guy. He's alright, not a titan but then he IS a common, and to be honest if an opponent went for islands too this guy should do some damage. Otherwise, he's not too bad, can just sit there as a big derpy deterrent.

Unfortunately, R&D 'has' to print worthless cards such as these and the lifegain charms popular with newbies to teach them why they suck.

If by "awesome" you mean a creature that requires another card just to do what regular creatures are able to do on their own, then sure.
This is better than Sea Serpent and Deep-Sea Serpent, not that that matters at all. Now they have Harbor Serpent, which is significantly less awful, but still not quite playable. I don't understand why it's taken them 17 years to realize that Sea Serpents were god-awful.
On the other hand, Giant Shark is even worse.

What a shame, superb art work and enjoyably flvor text, wasted on a worthless boring creature.
