Why would you deal it to a creature (besides Stuffy Doll)? By turn 6 in a mostly red deck (besides maybe sacrificial, and it should be mostly red to reliably be able to pay the triple red) you should have at least a decent amount of creatures to at least take out a chunk of their lifetotals...unless your deck consists entirely of Mister Powerkreeper and his Pregnant Girlfriend and they replenish themselves

Nice finisher. Big risky downside is that you are screwed if this gets countered.
Which also seems weird regarding flavor if you ask me. Why would the creatures die if their souls don't blast?

I liked the old artwork better with the "yay for annihilation"-guys in the background.
But this one looks amazing as well with the faces of the souls in the flames.

Looks like it could be nice to have to play in response to a board wipe. I mean hey, if you're going to lose all your creatures anyway.

I want to play this in a Naya deck. turn 6 with the proper mana fixing/ramping should be an easy 20+ damage. heck, find a way to cheat the 13 mana and cast this after a Titanic Ultimatum.

The ability to target creatures almost feels like a downside due to the existence of Spellskite =o

Stupid combo.
Caged Sun, Moonveil Dragon, a few mana Myr and then this....

Practical use.
Pop before Day of Judgment resolves, use as a finisher, or in a rare situation ditch whatever you got to kill a creature.
