Combos well with upcoming Phyrexian Obliterator and indestructability. Flop some (two) privileged positions down... Isn't white fun?

The most general use is probably as roundabout removal, but there are combos that love this too. I'm surprised this doesn't get played more when it's in Standard.
@Kokirin and Tezz: ScisorsLizard is correct, Tezz is mistaken. A replacement effect can only replace an event once. You choose one Pariah to redirect the damage to, then the other one has nothing left to replace.

+ Phytohydra. I don't care that it does to Doom Blade. That is one of the most fun combos in the game, made better solely by Shield of the Oversoul

@burnyomama it causes an infinite loop, causing the game to be declared a draw.

I like the 7th Edition art more, even though I'm a huge Urza's Saga fan which is where this art is from.
I would like to see this reprinted. Pariah's Shield is nice but not as versatile as far as enchanting opponents creatures.

a very versatile card for white!
Stuffy dolls, every indestructible creature, an opp creature to kill, etc...

The opponent has a Stuffy Doll and I enchant it with my Pariah.
Where da f**k does the damage go to?
