slapped him in my Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck for whenever I need a sweep. It's quite convenient

Arrgh. I play Kaalia of the Vast. Of course, it would go into any Sarkhan Vol EDH (when you're talking about Dragons, you AREN'T ALLOWED to call it C********) See that? The Gatherer even censored it. It really IS a rule.
But with Kaalia, uergh. So many Dragons...and I still need to make room for auto-include Demons like Rune-Scarred and Reiver, and auto-include Angels like...well, Angels kind of have Dragons' problems to be honest. Baneslayer and Akroma feel wrong. Don't ask me why. It's an inexplicable psychological block. Serra Angel and Lord of the Pit from the Divine vs. Demonic Duel Decks, because nothing is strictly better than playing good old 90's classics. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
So, Scourge of Kher Ridges is a fine Dragon, but Kaalia wants to play THREE tribes of epic monsters, and that's quite a constraint.

Fantastic with Kaalia of the Vast in Commander. Swing, drop, spend your mana on bombing the ground with your Rolling Temblor on a stick.

This is one of my favorite cards. I wish he was legendary he would be an incredibly fun general. He is insane when given a Basilisk Collar or the Sword of Kaldra.

Not legendary? What sort of god-forsaken hellscape has more than one of these things???

I find it amusing that if he loses flying his first ability damages himself.
