It slithered into this world through the cracks in my mind. Only when my sanity was completely shattered did it fully reveal itself to me.

I just ordered a foil version of this card for my Vela EDH deck which has lots of discard and evasion. Horrors are my favorite creature type, and this is one of my favorites. The colors are awesome, and I love how only a portion of the Nihilith is visible; the silhouette is mysterious and disturbing, the fact that most of the horror is hidden makes it especially scary. In EDH games this thing slithers out really quickly, and comes in with haste off of suspend. In the games I've played people are afraid of it. Very cheap set it and forget it efficient creature.

Death cloud is an ok way to play this guy. Kill spells next to Wight of Precinct Six is an ok way to go. Discard cards can cause him to come out as early as T3 or 4. (Opponent attacks, you and him trade creatures (say a fume spitter), suspend takes off 1 counter, opponent plays 2 spells, you cause discard 3 with Delirium Skeins, not probable, but quite possible.)

4/4 Fear is quite powerful, and discard means your opponent probably is missing the removal he needs to answer it. This guy is a serious consideration with a mix of removal, discard, and things like Burning Inquiry.


Also? Way way better in multiplayer. You get a 4/4 for 2, probably attacking T3, with haste. Having trouble getting it out? Smallpox
