I didn't see the value of this card in limited, and it has none whatsoever in constructed. The card and concept behind it are themselves interesting, however.

I don't see why this card is rated so low. I run this in my treefollk edh deck, and it kicks some serious ass.

Especially late game, I'll have a Timber Protector out, and I'll leave 3 mana open for any targeted removal. Otherwise, I'm usually even safe from board wipes. Great as commander back up as well.

Yes, perhaps not the most versatile card ever, but definitely usable in a treefolk deck. Great edh material.

I kinda liked treefolk tribal although a 3 cmc with a 1/3 body is pretty weak. The effect is overcosted and there are still better options
