It's a really big elf, and you can create a really good swarm of dangerous wolves. Not bad at all.

This card is great due to the deathtouch bonus and the possibility of attacking AND creating wolves. Also, it's an elf, and so it fits more in tribal decks. But I think that Wolfbriar Elemental is better at making wolves, since this one requires three mana for each one; the elemental requires a strong mana investment only while casting, and so it's better when using some cards to produce large amount of green mana (see Gaea's Cradle, Priest of Titania, Rofellos or Omnath).
