This used to be the biggest card I had.
I took it to elementary school to show to my friends on the playground and Mrs. Mooney the principle confiscated it.

Just a little better than Sea Serpent. That doesnt mean much though. It should have islandwalk instead of its really restricting ability.

Bleg, I'd rater have a weaker, cheaper, flier card then something like this. I agree with Azuredrake89, if it has to have that terrible drawback, it should at least have islandwalk.

@land_comment: Well, sure. But Consecrated Sphinx is also a Mythic Rare printed in 2011. It's not exactly fair to compare it to a Common from a set fourteen years earlier.
As for the card, I always thought Sea Monster and Sea Serpent were way underrated. Sure, they might not attack all the time. But even if they don't, they're huge blockers.
