There is one thing about this card that above all else proves it is bad.
I got, like, 12 of them in packs.
Acid test for bad card right there.

for 3B you get a 5/1 in black, so the variable p/t and cannot block COST MANA!? why? This is too bad even for limited. Only format this will ever see play in is "Rated one Star" and even then its near the bottom of the list.

Wait, I can't rate it below a 0.5/5? It's not that good! Ashenmoor Cohort is around that rating, to me, and he's superior to this jank. Scavenging Scarab is another 0.5er, and I'd still pick him. Heck, Razor Boomerang can be broken with enough Etherium Sculptor and a Puresteel Paladin, 0.5-material though it is.
This here, this is a 0.2/5.

You guys are forgetting that if you run four, you've got a good chance of winning the clash, which....I can't do it, they'll shock it, it blows.
@Baconradar: Sorry, but the people have spoken. This is the worst creature card in Magic. I guess Wood Elemental found a spot in landfall decks.
Edit: As of 5/21/11, it's been dethroned by Numai Outcast. Which is also black. Someone needs to let R&D know that Terror immunity ain't what she used to be.

I'd rather play Numai Outcast.

It deserves mythic status. And you can use ponder to win the clash!

But guys, it trades with Chimney Imp, or, if you win the clash, outright kills it! That's gotta be worth something!!!
I'll be nice and give it a 0.5/5

I'm fairly certain that there's a variety of cards that are almost always better in virtually any deck.
