This is an incredible card...i've found it to be an edh staple for me. 5/5 for fair cost, utility, playability, art/flavor, over all fatness, and the occasional hosing of sky swarms such as talrand is known to make.
Played it against a storm herd once for ultimate win. Take it from a green mage such as myself, this is a great card.

Might use it in my Veteran Explorer Legacy deck. Why?
-Eats lingering souls, squadron hawks, and delver of secrets
-Flying Batterskulls/jitte/swords can't get past it
-Huge finisher
-Can be cast for 4 to wipe or for 6 to stick
-Can be tutored by Green Sun's or Living wish
-Eats Planeswalkers.
Clear the air-weenies and eat a Liliana of the veil or Mind Sculptor? Nice.

@Oblivax:
Read the ruling for the card, and then complain!
If you cast this card for its evoke cost, you may put the sacrifice trigger and the regular enters-the-battlefield trigger on the stack in either order. The one put on the stack last will resolve first.
Your opponent didn't do anything wrong, just used the rules to his advantage. When Cloudthresher comes into play, his triggered abilities go on the stack, and he has a chance to respond to his own effects. Thus, he blinked it to save it from being sacrificed. Simple as that.
