Lands like these are an obvious trade-off, and whether or not it is useful for you should be determined by your personal play preferences.

But there's one problem: they're non-basic, which is almost always a liability, and limits synergy with other cards. Yet you could also argue that they prevent landwalk, so... Whatever. Take it if you like it.

The BlackBlack ability is for that gamebreaking combo you had in mind all the time. Not a bad idea, but ETB tapped ruins/balances it somewhat.
