I suppose they figured this would have an advantage in that it's part of one of the most popular tribes going - as well as being a Colour Lord it's essentially another mono-red Goblin Lord. The same could be said for the other Shadowmoor Knight lieges (the Eventide ones don't tend to provide much tribal wise).

A solid pick for a red/green creature beatdown deck. For optimum flavour, fill with goblins and be sure to spice with Gristleback.

How come the eventite lieges are so much better than the shadowmoor ones?
Because the Lieges from Eventide are enemy colored lords while the ones in Shadowmoor are allied colored. On top of that the Eventide lieges cost an average of 5 mana, as opposed to the 4 mana Shadowmoor lieges.

However, the Eventide lieges can be played in mono-colored decks more effectively than their Shadowmoor counterparts.
