"Scrapbasket's ability won't stop it from being an artifact. It'll just be a colorful artifact."
Legit Rulings.
Made me lol.

I would prefer transguild courier, though for that extra point of toughness, but reaper king EDH needs its scarecrows.

Quite necessary in Coalition Victory decks. Works well with the best of the hybrid enchantments from Shadowmoor/Eventide. Good mana acceleration with Bloom Tender. For a seemingly scrappy scarecrow, it carries its weight in the right decks.

Apparently Basket and Knight of the New Alara are best budds.
One mana for +5/+5 boost? Any time!

If you're using this card specifically for Coalition Victory, I would strongly suggest the use of a Transguild Courier instead. Or if you want even cheaper 5-color creatures, you can always use Prismatic Lace, Dream Coat, or Scuttlemutt.

Nothing quite like layering all of the fancy hybrid enchantments onto it without bonuses, then exploding into an absolute beast at the tap of a land.
Or you can just put 'em on a normally 5 color creature, but where's the fun in that!?
