Loxodon Smiter then follow up with this. If your friend has a discard deck that just annoys the crap out of you, use this combo to auto-win. That's 10 puts of damage they just put on the field for you :) and when doing this, don't forget to pack your Obstinate Baloth and Guerrilla Tactics for the pure win.

You have to remember this was in standard when Blightning was, one of the strongest card advantage cards out there and was used quite often. To turn it into a semi-advantage on your part would always be good.

Blindthrall, you are right about this card, but not in broad principles. All of the colors except white can benefit greatly from self-discard. Green has Arrogant Wurm and Basking Rootwalla, and great discard engines like Wild Mongrel and Fauna Shaman, while blue has Circular Logic and Obsessive Search, which can be used at instant speed with Compulsion. Even white has Strength of Isolation, although I'll agree that isn't worth building a deck around.

This card is a house. A 4/4 body for a 4 drop is solid (unheard of for a white card) dual +1/+1 bonus gives pumps up any army, in either a white or green deck and is sublime in any white/green deck. Oh yes and it can completely hose discard decks too. I think this will be a staple card for years and will always be a viable sideboard card against any discard deck.

Just play this card with any white or green-white deck, but if you play it with any bant-theme deck and you'll see the true power of this beauty. It will make a Empyrial Archangel a 7/10 beauty and the purge for your unworthy opponents, play a second one and the angel will become your favorite card.

I love this card. It has so much room to build around in type two extended and standard(formats I play). Cascading into this is just all kinds of fun, and g/w decks...well this is like icing to a cake in that case.
