This card begs to be played with Opalescence and Wrath of God (or any mass destruction spell). Fun for the whole family :P

Amazing with blue draw/discard spells. And Pandemonium and Saproling Burst (The deck is called 21, because once you bring both of those into play you do 21 points of damage to your oppoent. If they gained life, just Replenish again!)
Also fun with Opalescence, Attunement, and Parallax Wave/Tide!
This is by far my absolute FAVORITE deck to play.

"How does this card affect Erayo Essence?"
There are four characteristics of permanents: tapped / untapped, phased in / phased out, face up / face down, and flipped / unflipped. Unless something says otherwise, a permanent entering any zone begins untapped, phased in, face up, and unflipped. Whenever your Erayo's Essence changes zones from the battlefield to the graveyard, it ends up there unflipped and as a consequence is a creature card. Replenish will not return Erayo to play.

I was going to rage hard if the rating wasn't 5/5 stars. Good to know there are a lot of intelligent players out there ;)
Bring back my Hatching Plans? Yes Please!

Wow. What a card! Expensive to buy, as well.

I found a slightly bent copy of this in the dollar rare boxes at my local CGS. Maybe they got it confused with Retether?

You know, this kind of tutor+ effect, especially when it gets its fingers into the graveyard, is pretty much always undercosted and makes broken cards, not so much because RnD are trying to destroy Magic with combo decks, but because you are setting to make a card that has an inherently uncostable effect: you want to do something that really shouldn't even be getting done in the first place. That's what designing cards for Johnny often entails. :p
However, this card I think is actually fine as is and I'd enjoy seeing a reprint. Sometimes, not always, but sometimes, the enablers are not really to blame and the targets really are just too dumb-good. In this case, it's the 2nd-degree enablers- the ones that let you land whatever stuff into your graveyard you want, that are to me the more dangerous cards, in the long scheme of things, than Replenish itself.

@Mythwind: As per the Champions of Kamigawa FAQ, the flip side of flip cards only matters if the card is in play and flipped. Sorry, no bringing back Erayo as an enchantment, it's broken enough already. ^_^
