Ok, I have to say. this plus Edric, Spymaster of Trest/Druid Repository is ridiculous. Edric wants bodies. This creates bodies. Bodies attack. Bodies can die for all I care. Some draw cards. All give me an extra mana. I use this mana for extra turns. Profit :D

No mention of EDH? 6 CMC is basically turn 3-4 in EDH anyway, and getting a bunch of free tokens is always appreciated. My favorite place for it is with Edric the Spymaster. Getting evasive tokens to draw you more cards that get you more tokens can snowball pretty quickly.

I love enchantments with fun abilities that stack with each other.
And any excuse to use Sprout Swarm more often.

Yeah its not as hard to play as everyones making it sound, can ramp up mana fast in green. The fable of the wolf and owl is (if I'm correct and they aren't talking about some other legend), actually related to two lovers seperated by an evil sorceror, where one would turn into a wolf at day, and the other an owl at night, to keep them apart, and an eclipse broke the curse.

@zeyette: Sunscape Familiar would work, but just to be clear- it would lower the price of this spell by {1}, not {2}. You'd be about as well off sticking to Fable of Wolf and Owl's colors and just playing a Llanowar Elves- at least that's good for a wolf token in the late game.

Don't forget a good late game synergy with the Fable: Spitting Image is from the same set, and turns every land in your hand into a green and blue clone. If you can retrace a Spitting Image, you'll never run out of wolves and owls.

There also appears to be a Native American variant on that story explaining why wolves howl and owls hoot - to sing of the love they shared by singing one evening, but they could not maintain because they were of a different plane, if you will. Kudos to the design folks for adding some oldschool flavor.

you really couldnt make this cheaper without it coming out too early. in a great hand, with ramp, turn 3 if it was 3 and G/U G/U for 5CMC.

Excellent card. If you don't think it's good then you're not playing it in the right deck. The 6 mana is not bad at all. 3 mana is colorless and the other 3 are hybird! Hybrid are nearly colorless in a 2 color deck! Also, all my spells are either green or blue or both! And then I also have 3 of the lieges; which ever of the 3 different ones are out will give my tokens +1/+1 for sure.
Bottom Line: 4.5/5

In which planet do you play this only at the 6th turn? If costed less, would be too powerful.

Atmos is clearly an aggro player, lol
