Hey gang, silly question that i think I already know the answer to but...

Do you discard your hand and draw cards simultaneously or do you do it sequentially? I would think you do both at once, but if not there are some opportunities to get silly when it comes to other spells and abilities regarding hand size.

Thanks in advance.

Oh also awesome card for red agro, usually having 5 cards in hand at the beginning of almost every turn no matter what you play can really allow you to bring on the heat, not to mention the synergy it can have with all sorts of graveyard stuff.

Don't forget, there's also a long thorn pierced into each of his fingertips.

He's an MVP in my casual gobbie deck, and ensures that I almost always have something to play on each turn.

@Jaguarkill

While abilities (and spells) are resolving, neither is priority passed nor are state based actions checked for.

For casual play, this means that once you look at that card, nobody can set spells or activate abilities (so you should ask for reactions before looking) until you decide whether or not to reveal. Once you reveal (if it's a goblin) people still can't do anything until they have dropped their hand then drawn four (after which YOU have priority as it's your turn, but for casual play don't worry about that too much).

Further, without state based actions being checked, any effect that cares about how many cards are in any player's hand ignore that moment when it is empty and go right to each player having four cards in hand. Hellbent (which checks for empty hands) doesn't happen, Maro doesn't die, but your opponents are allowed to drop their Loxodon Smiter as triggers still happen.

Hope this clears things up... And now ... (see all)
