In the right deck and played properly, this card can easily kill off 2 creatures while leaving your unscathed. The main advantage here is flexibility. It is well worth the cost. 3.5/5

My favorite combo was always swinging with Woodlurker Mimic and using this on whatever creature I wanted and pumping up the Shapeshifter.
7 Wither damage is pretty awesome, I cannot lie.

You would keep it lying around for your attack!

@Gezus: Every turn after your fourth turn unless you're some dumbo who always plays creatures on his Main Phase 1.
This card can basically bolt a creature and pack 3 extra damage to an attack. Mabye that doesn't sound great compared to Searing Blaze which costs half the mana, but this doesn't require landfall and you can pull off some sick combat tricks.

This card is so good in the right deck. Think of it as a more expensive, GB version of Lightning Helix, because that's what it is. Super good combat trick/card advantage.
Really good in my friend's no-rares cube.
