It says this cannot add colorless mana to your mana pool, but what about in EDH, if you happen to control permanents of colors un-aligned with your commander (through stealing, replicating, color changing, etc.)? Does the mana just fizzle or does it give you that mana and is then converted into colorless?

Yeah this card is very useful. Bloom tender makes using Horde of Notions ability so much easier!
