This is a fun and nostalgic card. I won a game with it recently, and better than that, someone bribed him with a Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer. Why would he do it? Because bribing a hand of justice is hilarious. It turned out to matter since I needed every attacker I could get...

For someone supporting justice he sure looks evil. Brooding on his wooden throne with mustaches sharp enough to poke an eye out, it looks like he is planning on how to manipulate the three creatures into doing his handiwork for him.

Love the ruling: " It can destroy one of the three creatures it taps." In case you're feeling like an evil bastard.

Terrible by today's standards, but it was quite the board lock back in the day. I remember my icatian javelineers taking out early threats then helping to activate this ability later, preventing them from getting a big creature down while my serra angel swung every turn.

Oh, THAT'S where Gaze of Justice comes from...one of the best things about randoming on Gatherer is finding all the stuff Time Spiral cards were based off.

That is the second coolest 'stache I've ever seen.

Really not that bad. He's going to be played in white weenie decks, where tapping three of yours to kill one of theirs works out in your favor. He's a massive 2/6 for 6, so you get a stable blocker on top of the interesting ability.

Probably not playable in anything but a very casual environment, though.

Stupidly good in a deck where everything has vigilance, which is the cheapest beneficial ability. Cards with vigilance don't usually cost anymore than cards without, just a higher rarity or more color intensive.

Quite the underrated card. A reusable kill spell (always good) in white (rarer than in red or black). Plus a high enough toughness to discourage/withstand attacks. Now if only this were green, the king of weenie-producing colors...

I came across this card doing a random card search. I remember cracking one of these when I was a little kid and thinking "Hey, that's the Mandarin!" Now if I cracked it open I would think "Hey, that's garbage."
