Perhaps, Mr.sc u mbling1 should check out the rest of Daniel Gelon's art. It's not all that great, but, there are several gems.

Fungus Sliver, Goblin Snowman, Lich, Marjhan, Rag Man, Spike Worker, and m o t h e r f u c k i n g Uncle Istvan for reference.

It's not bad.
If you consider the typical "keep a creature tapped" aura to cost four mana, then this costs only half as much. And also taps the creature. And works at instant speed. And can also be used to mess up combat. And can't be disenchanted. Works "only" for three turns though. But by that time, most of these auras or the creature they enchant have been killed or disenchanted or whatnot.

It's also nice that you can use it both for offense by keeping a blocker tapped, for defense by preventing combat damage and keeping an attacker tapped, and by preventing combos, in keeping utility creatures tapped.

For one one mana, it would be too cheap. But two is alright.

This is a fun card that I really miss-
I'd love for them to bring it back in this day and age of Blue tap-control,
though it would be easier if it used counters to keep track of the time left until untapping.

Similar to spells like Fireball and Disenchant, It's also a "classic" Fantasy spell,
so it's kind of sad to see it with only a single (paper) printing.

According to the community rating, this card is apparently much more awesome when taking in a common slot in Master's Edition instead of a rare slot from Legends O.o

It could be regarded as some sort of temporary creature removal, although in a typical blue way:
This card will normally stop a creature from attacking or blocking the next three turns with a Dehydration effect (and will certainly prevent its combat damage at least once), at instant speed.

There are of course plenty of better choices for preventing oneself from getting trouble with creatures, e.g. white alternatives like Swords to Plowshares, or the minimally comparable Journey to Nowhere.

But overall i'd love to see this card getting reprinted, although i doubt this will ever happen since the next two untap steps can become slightly confusing.

Daniel Gelon: now there's another old Magic artist that has no reason to be employed.

@ Drewsel: I ran a search for the artist's other works before I posted that comment. I don't care for any of it; the muddied colors and thick black contours on nearly every surface he paints really ruin them for me.

Marjhan is the only one that isn't actually painful to look at.

Two mana for a blue Fog and a Frost Breath on a single target. 4.5/5.

A really neat piece of utility. Too bad it's probably on the reserved list; it would make an excellent reprint. It would be a great way for blue to combat those increasingly efficient creatures. Seems like one of the better designs from Legends.
