I always think "One-drops only? What's the worst he can do?" when he shows up. Then I see him him dredge up a Figure of Destiny and Student of Warfare.

Works really well in a tribal soldier deck with Preeminent Captain. Swing with the Captain, pull out the Ranger, tutor out some Soldier of the Pantheon, Dryad Militant, or Boros Elite, cast them after combat, and basically double your on-field card advantage.
