The only reason I'd sacrifice another creature to regenerate this guy would be if it were already dead.
I guess maybe that's the point, but still.

Common Grixis creatures tend to be useless. See Shore Snapper, Undead Leotau, Dreg Reaver, and, of course, the famous Viashino Skeleton.
