I hear you! I can think of better ways to get a creature out. Rather sit there and try to get a power play out using Elvish Piper after searching for the creature I want to drop with Diabolic tutor and just hope I can keep my piper on the field to do it rather than bother with something like ANGEL'S HERALD... Don't see any creature in one's deck really being worth it...

I think everyone is losing sight of the fact that this is a White search card.
Granted, that in limited, it has limited value.
But a 1/1 vanilla for 
? I remember when this was almost the norm.

@Sironos: I suppose if you think of it as the creatures sacrificing themselves, it makes sense flavorfully. Unfortunately, you, the plansewalker, are sacrificing them. But you guys are really bagging on this thing. It's a 1/1 for one with an ability that can be useful under the right circumstances. There are vanilla 1/1's with better ratings than this, what's up with that?

The problem with this card is that it sees very limited play. Although it does work in particular conditions, this certainly isn't your average white card. Try to avoid this one.
