A control player's dream. Situation looking bad? 3 for 3 damage, since you have nothing better to do. Yes, please.

This land would be the best in the cycle if it wasn't part black. If it was blue + any other color it would definitely see use in legacy 40 land decks.

I hate overpowered manlands. Jwar Isle Refuge would have been perfectly playable.

Okay, joking aside, this is really awesome. I love this one. First of all, it's really cheap, hits for 3 power every time, is basically unkillable, and really puts Lavaclaw Reaches to shame (that one shoulda been at least a 3/3 and given +X/+X instead of +X/+0). Also, this is really flavorful!!! I mean, I get Dread Statuary and Stirring Wildwood, but the others are just random! Why would a bunch of pillars turn into a giant flying thing? This makes sense, and would also be really good in Dark Ascension, as a "thing that goes bump in the night"
5/5

@Amnesigenic: Excerpt from rule 706.2:
"Other effects (including type-changing and text-changing effects), status, and counters are not copied."
So if you drop a Clone and make it a copy of this while it's animated, the clone will initially be just a land (but it'll also have the ability to animate.)
