I would kill a man for a copy of this card.

I dunno, I like this flavor text. Less silly, more epic.

@Saxophonist
Because 13375p34k became mainstream for people of unidentified weal a few years ago, and is incredibly embarassing to see anyone type in nowadays. Niv-Mizzet isn't an internet hacker or troll. He's a badass dragon battlemage.
This guy is truly the personification of {R}{U}. What he does seems so simple for each color individually, but when they come together something wonderful happens.

Niv-Mizzet... nuff said.
There was nothing silly about his last flavor text... and frankly it represents what kind of character he is a lot better (Egotistical Genius)

This guy made me finally add creatures to my Red/Blue counter/burn deck. Still only have him and 2x Metal Workers in it so far. Will definitely put 2x Curosity, 1x Pemmin's Aura, and 1x Freed from the Real to protect and dominate with Niv-Mizzet and also Metal Worker for infinite combos as well.
Great card!

Wow.
I stopped playing for *several* years over 15 years ago.
Back then, "enemy color" cards were practically nonexistent, and rather bad.
I don't remember *anyone* playing a Red/Blue or a Black/White deck
(though I did run a Blue/Green deck for a bit).
Anyway, they've improved the flavor and power of these enemy color combos immensely.
Izzet seems especially interesting and well developed-
I literally never played a single red card before Ravnica came out and totally redefined the color combos
(and Alara came out and elaborated things even further).
Now there are quite a few good Red/Blue cards worthy of a deck,
and this guy is basically the king of them all.
Major props to Wizards for taking the time to really flesh out these "clashing color" cards.
PS @ therealphatmatt: if you're going to murder for this card,
it should at least be for the $90 full-frame Promo Foil ;-)

Are you a Timmy? Well, Niv-Mizzet's a dragon.
Are you a Johnny? Well, Niv-Mizzet's a combo maker.
This card pleases all. 5/5/5. That's right 5 out of 5 out of 5.
